Sin masked as simplicity

Have you ever wanted to give up on that dream?

Have you ever thought your life would be easier if you just “took the job” “dropped our of school” “won the lottery” “numbed the pain with __”

Y’ALL THIS IS A LIE FROM THE ENEMY HE HAS BEEN DECEIVING BELIEVERS WITH FOR AGES!!!

Let’s look back in the Garden of Eden, all the way in Genesis chapters 1-3. God formed the entire university, man, women, plants and animals in SEVEN days.

He gifted them with everything they would ever need in the Garden of Eden. He asked not to touch one tree with beautiful fruit- for reasons we humans cannot understand.

We were made in God’s image, He knew what Adam and Eve needed to survive and thrive. Yet the serpent was sneaky. He knew he could convince them otherwise- and that’s what he does to you and I. We are Gods creation, he delights in us (Psalm 37:23-25). The enemy knows this and wants to take us from God.

He doesn’t do this outright, he doesn’t tell you the destruction instant gratification will bring. He entices you with something of beauty, something that may even seem justified and logical.

“The woman saw the tree was good for food and delightful to look at, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom.” Gen 3:6

The enemy enticed Eve with something that was desirable, an outcome she believed that would be better than her current situation. A long-term suffering wrapped in a beautiful bow.

He is good at doing this, making us compare our situation to others, making us jealous, making us envious, but these are actually all works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21. These things keep us from reaching the kingdom of God.

But God graces us with His wisdom to decipher good from evil. God’s plan is greater than the enemy’s. The enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy, but Christ comes to give life and to have it in full (John 10:10).

Give God your temptations, your worries and your fears today. He is the only one who can truly provide and set you free from the lies of the flesh. Avoid comparing our situation to others, vent your comparisons to God, soften your heart and let His wisdom fill your heart.

May this post help you grow closer to God. Prayers for safety, prosperity and peace in Christ ❤️

Love,

Kelso ☕️🤎
