Calling all Proverbs 31 Women 🫶🏻

A dissection of Proverbs 31 👇🏻

When we accept Christ in our heart, we give up the life we once knew. We have to, in order to heal, grow and let God work in us.

What does it mean to be a woman of God?

If we look at Proverbs 31, it’s almost a list of instruction for women and wives to act. And we should CELEBRATE the fact that God gave us this text to aspire to!

Being a godly woman keeps her head held high, she is unafraid of what the future holds, she is physically and mentally strong because she knows her creator. She tends to her family day and night, and her works are recognized by our King.

She does not waste time, she works diligently and she trusts God with her life. She respects those around her, and gives to everyone, regardless of their social status.

I had to check myself while reading this. Am I cultivating an environment that encourages others, lifts others up and stands firm in Gods promise for provision?

How can you start being a godly woman?

Start by drawing your attention to your own heart. Are you driven by external factors of gratification? Do you need to be complemented for a job well done in order to feel important? Are your actions driven by fear, or freedom?

As followers of Christ we are called to love and fear our Father. By reviewing this chapter, we are given an outline of how we should be living.

I’m working on being fearless. Embracing the journey Christ is taking me on, giving up my own plans for His.

I want to encourage you in this too.

If you want to reset your heart, break free from shame, bitterness, jealous and comparison, you have to start speaking to God. You have to cry out to Him and follow his guidance. And believe me that can be easier said than done, but giving up the lives we once found comfort in will lead us closer to Jesus. It will lead us closer to an eternal walk that begins after being saved.

God is with you, bring your concerns to Him and watch Him plant new opportunities, perspective and ideas in your life. We’re on the faith walk together, we’re aspiring for the same thing: love.

Keep your eyes focused on Him,

Love,

Kelso 🤎
